Welcome to Manoeuvre’s embroidery table to join a conversation about‘invisible work’ within the contours of collaboration and social engagement in the art world.

Manoeuvre is an artistic workplace in Ghent, where textiles, everyday life and art meet in polyphony. Names (‘Namen’) in turn is textile co-creative work, developed by manoeuvre. For 5 months, in the Palestinian Café, we embroidered the dead of the Palestinian Genocide on a long robe every weekday. Behind these names are lives and stories.

Palestinian Café is a‘Healing and Hearing space’, created on the intiative of the GentsKunstenOverleg and NTGent. The nomadic café was hosted by NTGent arca, arts centre Viernulvier, Campo Boma etc. Vzw Manoeuvre and Vzw Splinter bring people together through artistic and activist projects.
